Hi
I can thoroughly understand your comments and I have also been concerned at the time it has taken to get this campaign up and running and raising the profile. My main excuse is that although there is a small core team I have ended up doing all of the work and organisation myself - chair, secretary and treasurer plus more - and, as I have a very demanding day job too, I've found the task very time-consuming and it's taken me much longer than I expected to write and finalise the promotional materials, etc. In addition, although several people initially offered help, when they realised the level of commitment, they dropped out. However, we now have an excellent leaflet and bag tag and I shall be working on the website over the weekend. I'm writing a press release for the Malvern Gazette next week to let retailers know that volunteers will start to visit shops after Friday 21 November. We shall be surveying as many shops and businesses as is physcially possible with the small core group that have stuck with me. If you would like to help at all, please do get in touch with me. I'm also writing to every Parish Council in the AONB and beyond to ask their communities to get involved. I'm holding a Swap Shop from 10 - 2pm on Saturday 10 January 2009 in Priory Lodge Hall to raise the profile again and other local environmental groups are invited to be represented there.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Regards
Jan

Does anyone know what has happened to the Plastic Bags No Thanks (Malvern) campaign? Having secured a grant from Malvern Hills AONB to raise their profle, design a logo and set up a website; their profile now apears to be so low as to be non-existant
